On July 7th, Ash Island and Chanmina each shared the news of their marriage and pregnancy in Korean, Japanese, and English on their social media.
Ash Island revealed, “Chanmina and I have promised to spend our lives together. I am so grateful and happy to become a family with Mina, who has always been my biggest support in every way.“
He continued, “The more joyous news is that a baby has come to us! I feel immense gratitude for this, and I am so happy and thankful to be able to share this happiness with many people,” announcing their pregnancy.
Additionally, he mentioned, “My long-term exclusive contract with Ambition Music, which has always been like family to me, has ended.”
Chanmina also shared, “I am getting married to Ash Island. I am truly happy to become a family with him, the one and only person in my life, my most beloved person, and my closest friend.“
She added, “We will work together to build a wonderful family, and I will strive to live even more diligently to become a great mother,” eliciting warm responses.
Ash Island, born in 1999, and Chanmina, born in 1998, drew attention in June with their collab music.
Chanmina, a representative artist of the Japanese Gen Z, held her first solo concert in Korea in February, where Ash Island participated as a guest.
